It's a take-out spot. What atmosphere? I traveled to Greensboro to visit my son and stopped by Hickory Tree. I picked up 2 turkey sandwich dinners( one for me and one to share), greens,yams,fries, baked beans, and a medium crack and cheese. Everything was delicious. I plan to stop by again on a future visit.
1st time eating here being that I'm a truck driver from Tennessee and looked for a good BBQ spot to eat while waiting to unload. This place will remain a must go to and have whenever I'm coming thru or stopping to deliver. Appreciate the great flavor of the Crack and Cheese Lawd Jesus it was so good.
They were one of the food trucks at an event. Delicious smoked turkey leg stuffed with mac & cheese. My sister ordered it and literally we passed it around biting it. I got the eggrolls and they were delicious. My everyone really love them. They had the longest line and it was definitely worth the wait. I’m definitely gonna have to check them out in Greensboro and try some of the other stuff.
Please people, DO NOT go off of the reviews! This was my first time hitting the brick & mortar but it took me a while reading the reviews. I haven’t experienced the full menu because I didn’t know they had a restaurant it was just the fair experience. My wait time for a Friday evening at 4:45 was no longer than 15 minutes and I ran to the store after I placed my order. Was I returned to the parking lot they were walking my food out! Only two complaints. Not enough vinegar taste to my BBQ sandwich (I’m from the eastern part of the state) and turkey legs could be a little more tender. But that Mac Crack and turkey neck & gravy…. Wow! Well worth it!
Update: I went today and got 2 jumbo legs and 2 lemonades, and honestly, the lady came off a little rude, but maybe it's just me, but my son agreed so I'm a visitor for second time but didn't like the vibe but turkey leg was good. Turkey leg was seasoned right and taste amazing and people are very down to earth and friendly for instance they didn't have a item but they fixed the problem without any problems and the way my son destroyed that Turkey Leg let's me know there was no complaints whatsoever.

The smoked turkey leg was cooked to perfection. Our sides, the collards and mac & cheese, were seasoned and cooked extremely well. The crack and cheese was also a fun side.
Absolutely friendly atmosphere, and I'm kosher and am so glad to have a great option for BBQ now !!! classic vinegar style sauce . One of the best plates I've had in a while, if you're a fan of collards and good food what're you waiting for?
